"Why don't you head up to the book cart now?", I asked one tenth grade girl.
"I don't read books.", she tells me.
Don't read books! I think. I have heard other people say that too and it always strikes me a odd. "I don't read books.". I just don't think that there is another statement that could so fully define you than "I don't read books". Everyone should read books. It makes you sound uneducated, impatient, and unwilling to learn. It doesn't say "I don't read" it says "I read other things but just not books". Why books? I just don't understand.

I have a child that has a learning disability. (David) Even though he has trouble reading, I make sure that he tries to read atleast one book a week. I have many wonderful trips and adventures through reading. It's sad when kids say things like. Makes you wonder what kind of life they have had. It goes to show that kids rather be watching t.v.or playing video games or getting into trouble. There are some days that our t.v. isn't turned on.
Have a good one

Glad you liked the soap. As far as colors go, honey, I have the rainbow in my kitchen. Every color you can think of. No certain one just the whole circle of colors.
Have a good one.

don't you remember joe leedoms comment? that average american reads zero books a year and the most popular form of printed material in this country is TV Guide. it's something that is stuck in my head everytime i open a book.
Then I guess I am better than the average American. I read, I would say, on average of a book a month. Recently it has been more and in the summer it is more than that.
Check out my new side bar "Books Recently Read"
I agree I just don't understand how people don't read books
